In a three-week pilot, we rebuilt one page on her website. By late February, Google's AI answer, Google's AI Mode, Gemini and ChatGPT were all naming or citing Emily Coyne Events. On September 9, 2026, Google's AI answer named her first.

For "best Napa wedding planner" and "luxury Napa Valley wedding planner", the AI answers named other firms and directories. Emily Coyne Events was not in them.
The Napa page read beautifully to a person, but the answer to "who is this and what do they do" was spread across long paragraphs. There was no single sentence a tool could lift.
Few recent outside mentions, in a category where AI tools lean on what magazines and directories say.

What we did

Four changes to a single page, nothing else on the site touched.

Make the page itself the answer: short, direct statements about who the company is, where it works, and what a luxury Napa wedding with them involves.
Give Google the company's details in the format it reads, including the questions couples ask and the answers.
Leave the rest of the site alone, apart from the links pointing to this page, so the result can be traced to the one page.

Rewrote the page as questions and answers

Each section opens with a plain statement a tool can quote on its own: what the company does, where it works, who it works for, and what makes a Napa wedding with them different.

Added the company's details in the format Google reads

We wrote the basics into the page in the format Google and AI tools read: the service, the location, and the questions and answers from the page.

Matched the title and links to the searches

The page title and description rewritten in the words couples type, and the site's internal links pointed at the page.

Arranged a few outside listings and mentions

We arranged a few press mentions, some of them paid, and directory listings, timed to the pilot, so there was outside confirmation of what the page said.

We checked again on September 9, 2026, from a US location with personalization turned off, and in our own ChatGPT account. We have not touched the page since February 24, 2026.

What this case proves

One page, rewritten so that every section answers a question in plain sentences and backed by the company's details in the format Google reads, put a Napa wedding planner into the AI answers for the two searches the pilot targeted within a month. More than six months later, Google's AI answer still named her first for "best napa wedding planner". We did not retest the other tools or the second search in Google. This is the smallest test we have run: one page, a few outside mentions, and the rest of the site left alone.
